A big movement of visible migration was evident over the peninsular today with the first large count of Chaffinch of the Autumn, plus a party of Crossbills and a single Lapland Bunting through. Offshore a Great Northern Diver showed well on the sea off the point.

Offshore 
1 Goldeneye west, 28 Common Scoters west, 6 Red-breasted Mergansers west, 1 Great Northern Diver flew west and landed on the sea off the point, 6 Red-throated Divers west, 8 Little Gulls, 2 Guillemots west, 7 Razorbills west and 69 Auk sp. west.

Visible Migration
15 Skylarks south, 31 Fieldfares south, 7 Mistle Thrushes east, 65 Jackdaws south, 326 Starlings east, 2 Grey Wagtails south, 2 Alba Wagtails south, 3 Rock Pipits west, 33 Meadow Pipits south, 965 Chaffinch south-east, 37 Bramblings south-east, 45 Greenfinch south-east, 9 Goldfinch south-east, 19 Siskins east, 5 Redpolls south-east, 5 Crossbills - briefly dropped into the pine plantation before flying off south-east and 1 Lapland Bunting flew west at 0810.

45 Redwings, 11 Song Thrushes, 40 Blackbirds, 2 Goldcrests and 2 Bramblings.

Others
8 Goldeneyes, 7 Red-breasted Mergansers, 1 Little Egret, 3 Water Rails, 29 Snipe, 1 Jack Snipe, 1 Med. Gull, 1 Peregrine, 1 Merlin, 7 Rock Pipits, 6 Twite, 2 Snow Buntings and 1 Barn Owl.
