A party of 10 Waxwings found in the late afternoon became the 200th species recorded at the Observatory this year. They showed well for a short period of time before flying off south.

Offshore 
2 Shelducks east, 73 Eiders, 8 Common Scoters west, 14 Red-breasted Mergansers, 1 Great Crested Grebe east, 1 Guillemot and 3 Auk sp. west.

Visible Migration
240 Pink-footed Geese south, 1 Kestrel in off, 87 Woodpigeons south, 40 Skylarks south, 36 Fieldfares south, 39 Jackdaws south, 7 Carrion Crows south, 57 Starlings east, 1 Grey Wagtail south, 1 Alba Wagtail south, 2 Rock Pipits west, 7 Meadow Pipits south, 33 Long-tailed Tits - single group left high east, 2 Coal Tits east with the Long-tailed Tits, 36 Chaffinch south-east, 7 Bramblings south-east, 9 Greenfinch south-east, 19 Linnets south, 10 Goldfinch south, 4 Siskins south and 3 Redpolls south.

Grounded Migrants
10 Waxwings found feeding along a hawthorn hedge late afternoon before flying off south, 60 Redwings, 2 Song Thrushes, 38 Blackbirds, 1 Jay, 35 Long-tailed Tits in 4 parties, 2 Goldcrests and 1 Brambling.

2,000 Pink-footed Geese, 500 Teal, 2 Shovelers, 1 Water Rail, 725 Lapwings, 12 Golden Plovers, 280 Sanderlings, 120 Dunlins, 4 Bar-tailed Godwits, 53 Black-tailed Godwits and 1 Med. Gull.

Ringing 
1 Dunnock, 3 Blackbirds, 1 Great Tit, 2 Blue Tits, 11 Long-tailed Tits, 1 Goldcrest, 2 Chaffinch and 1 Greenfinch.
