Meadow Pipits were on the move this morning with the largest count of the spring so far, a total of 1042 flew north from first light but had largely dried up by 07:30. There was also a noticeable number of Chiffchaffs around today.

52 Common Scoters east, 21 Red-breasted Mergansers, 2 Goosanders east, 23 Red-throated Divers east, 3 Gannets east and 2 Kittiwakes east.

Visible Migration:
11 Whooper Swans north, 4 Curlews east, 33 Wood Pigeons east, 1 Grey Wagtail north-east, 22 Alba Wagtails north, 1042 Meadow Pipits north, 5 Chaffinch east, 16 Linnets east, 1 Twite east, 2 Redpolls east, 51 Goldfinch east, 12 Siskins east and 1 Reed Bunting east.

Grounded Migrants 
10 Goldcrests, 15 Chiffchaffs, 2 Blackcaps, 1 Stonechat and 4 Wheatears.

Others 
1 Gadwall, 2 Goldeneyes, 1 Little Egret, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 23 Black-tailed Godwits, 130 Turnstones, 1 Spotted Redshank, 350 Redshanks, 1 Merlin, 2 Stock Doves, 3 Ravens, 4 Sand Martins and 11 Twite.
