Another excellent migration day; vis highlights included a good total of Skylarks moving south plus another Lapland Bunting flying west along the embankment calling. Grounded highlights were a noisy Ring Ouzel at dawn and yet another Yellow-browed Warbler found in the mount. Also an interesting Treecreeper was trapped - see pictures.

Offshore
6 Shelducks east, 4 Wigeons west, 1 Pintail east, 22 Common Scoters west, 3 Red-breasted Mergansers,1 Red-throated Diver west, 2 Guillemots east and 1 Auk sp. east.

Visible Migration 
865 Pink-footed Geese south, 2 Buzzards east, 1 Kestrel in off, 11 Jackdaws south, 18 Carrion Crows south, 1 Raven north-east, 214 Skylarks south, 23 Swallows south, 1 House Martin south, 18 Starlings south, 350 Redwings south-east, 6 Fieldfares south-east, 3 Grey Wagtails south, 53 Alba Wagtails south, 281 Meadow Pipits south, 3 Bramblings south-east, 38 Chaffinch south-east, 21 Greenfinches south, 20 Linnets south, 24 Goldfinch south, 3 Siskins east, 1 Lapland Bunting west and 7 Reed Buntings south-east.

Grounded Migrants
8 Goldcrests, 1 Yellow-browed Warbler, 3 Chiffchaffs, 1 Blackcap, 1 Treecreeper, 1 Ring Ouzel, 10 Redwings, 15 Blackbirds and 12 Song Thrushes.

270 Pink-footed Geese, 420 Wigeons, 1 Gadwall, 170 Teal, 2 Pintails, 7 Little Egrets, 58 Golden Plovers, 675 Lapwings, 33 Black-tailed Godwits, 140 Turnstones, 85 Dunlins, 700 Redshanks, 2 Med. Gulls and 1 Kingfisher.

Ringing
1 Blue Tit, 1 Blackcap, 1 Treecreeper, 3 Wrens, 2 Blackbirds, 6 Redwings, 1 Robin, 1 Dunnock, 3 Meadow Pipits and 3 Greenfinches.

 Treecreeper. Note the bright white underparts, broad bright white 
supercilium and greyish looking mantle. This gives the impression of a 
'cold' looking bird when compared to the 'warm' browninsh tones in the mantle of 
British birds. This was certainly an interesting bird!
