A Siberian Chiffchaff was today's highlight being found late in the afternoon. It was picked up giving its distinct "peep"  call from some Willow scrub near one of our net rides and was eventually trapped & ringed. The second Black Redstart of the month was seen briefly on the beach this morning.

Offshore
4 Wigeons west, 56 Common Scoters west, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers, 2 Red-throated Divers west, 3 Great Crested Grebes west, 1 Razorbill west and 8 Auk sp. west.

Visible Migration
17 Chaffinch east, 3 Greenfinch east and 2 Redpolls east.

Grounded Migrants 
8 Goldcrests, 1 Siberian Chiffchaff, 1 Chiffchaff, 30 Blackbirds, 7 Song Thrushes, 60 Redwings, 1 Black
Redstart, 1 Stonechat and 1 Brambling.

Others
330 Wigeons, 1 Gadwall, 115 Teal, 2 Shovelers, 6 Little Egrets, 75 Golden Plovers, 750 Lapwings, 11 Black-tailed Godwits, 155 Turnstones, 80 Dunlins, 1 Med. Gull, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Stonechats and
26 Linnets.

Ringing
1 Blue Tit and 1 Siberian Chiffchaff.
