After two days of slogging around the peninsular in awful weather, persistence finally paid off in the form of a juvenile American Golden Plover being found on the Golf Course this morning. It was found at 07:30 flying around calling frequently and landed briefly twice at the far side of the course by the club house before being disturbed by the Green keepers. It flew off high to the east calling at 07:45. This is the obs second record, the first being at the same location on the 20th September 1988.

Offshore 
9 Gannets, 8 Shelducks east, 8 Teal east, 21 Common Scoters west, 12 Red-throated Divers west, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 6 Kittiwakes east, 8 Little Gulls, 1 juv Arctic Tern west, 1 Guillemot east and 2 Auk sp. west.

Visible Migration
124 Swallows east, 8 House Martins east, 6 Grey Wagtails south, 36 Alba Wagtails south, 1 Tree Pipit south, 721 Meadow Pipits south, 1 Rock Pipit west, 5 Skylarks south, 2 Starlings south, 5 Chaffinch south, 2 Siskins east, 1 Redpoll east and 1 Reed Bunting south.

Grounded Migrants 
8 Wheatears, 20 Robins, 1 Blackcap, 10 Chiffchaffs, 10 Goldcrests and 1White Wagtail.

Others
1 juvenile American Golden Plover briefly on the Golf Course 07:30 - 07:45, 57 Ringed Plovers, 63 Sanderling, 62 Black-tailed Godwits, 1 Little Egret and 3 Med. Gulls.
