The highlight today was 3 Pomarine Skuas lingering offshore for 30 minutes this morning. This follows a recent trend of records during August in recent years.

Offshore
7 Manx Shearwaters, 25 Gannets, 4 Common Scoters, 3 Pom. Skuas (2 light adults & one 2nd summ.) lingering offshore for 30 minutes and briefly landing on the sea, 5 Arctic Skuas harassing Terns, 1 Kittiwake, 80 sandwich terns and 6 Common Terns.

A further sea watch in the evening produced 2 gannets, 7 Common Scoters, 60 Sandwich terns and 4 Arctic Skuas. 

Visible Migration
29 Swallows east.

Grounded Migrants
2 Wheatear, 5 Whitethroats and 3 Willow Warblers.

Others
13 Grey Plovers, 94 Ringed Plovers, 145 Sanderling, 250 Dunlin, 550 Redshank, Ruff, 3 Black-tailed Godwits, Bar-tailed Godwit, 2 Common Sandpipers, 2 Whimbrel, 135 Turnstones and 2 ad. Med. Gulls.

2 Reed Warblers, 2 Whitethroats, 2 Willow Warblers, 1 Wren and 2 Goldfinch.
