With the wind finally calming down it was no surprise that there was a push of visible migration today. The main species on the move was Meadow Pipit with 2,053 moving north and the first Swallow of the year flew through during the afternoon.

Meadow Pipit

Offshore 
11 Common Scoters west, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers east, 4 Red-throated Divers east, 1 Great Skua east, 33 Kittiwakes east, 19 Little Gulls west and 2 Auk sp. west.

Visible Migration
14 Wood Pigeons east, 1 Rook east, 21 Carrion Crows north-east, 6 Sand Martins north, 1 Swallow north, 1 Starling east, 2 Tree Sparrows east, 1 Grey Wagtail east, 46 Alba Wagtails north, 2,053 Meadow Pipits north, 4 Chaffinch east, 3 Goldfinch east, 13 Linnets east and 3 Reed Buntings east.

Grounded Migrants 
9 Goldcrests, 4 Chiffchaffs, 4 Wheatears and 2 White Wagtails.

Others 
1 Little Egret, 27 Ringed Plovers, 400 Knot, 125 Sanderlings, 120 Dunlins, 6 Snipe, 175 Black-tailed Godwits and 2 Sand Martins.
