The amazing spring passage of Pomarine Skuas continued today with the Observatory`s biggest single day count of 15 !!.As on Friday the birds were coming in from the west, hitting the point and veering off to the north-east giving superb views.Three parties were seen and all in the first 90 minutes after dawn.

18 Common Scoters west, 6 Red-throated Divers east, 20 Manx Shearwaters west, 254 Gannets east, 1 Great Crested Grebe east, 800 Knot west, 17 Bar-tailed Godwits west, 15 Pomarine Skuas north-east; parties of 7,6 and 2, 9 Arctic Skuas north-east, 3 Skua sp. east mid morning lost in an incoming squall, 68 Kittiwakes east, 6 Sandwich Terns west, 1 Common Tern east, 2 Arctic Terns east, 4 Guillemots east, 1 Razorbill east and 21 Auk sp. east.

Visible Migration
4 Whimbrels east, 21 Swallows north-east, 1 Alba Wagtail north-east, 1 Tree Pipit north-east, 2 Meadow Pipits north-east, 13 Goldfinch east, 1 Siskin east and 2 Redpolls east.

Grounded Migrants 
1 Short-eared Owl, 60 Swifts, 3 Sand Martins, 100 Swallows, 60 House Martins and 1 White Wagtail.
