An Osprey was seen circling high over the river in the early afternoon before drifting off north, an unusual July record.In the evening the first Swallow catch of the Autumn produced 55 birds and a single control.

Offshore
52 Common Scoters west, 5 Manx Shearwaters west, 2 Gannets west, 21 Sandwich Terns, 1 Common Tern and 3 Little Terns west.

Visible Migration:
4 Swifts east, 2 Sand Martins south and 19 Swallows south.

Grounded Migrants
1 Yellow Wagtail.

Others
2 Teals, 1 Little Egret, 1 Osprey, 4 Little Ringed Plovers, 250 Lapwings, 7 Knots, 28 Sanderlings, 315 Curlews, 1 Whimbrel, 4 Black-tailed Godwits, 1 Common Sandpiper, 175 Redshanks, 6 Turnstones and 2 Stock Doves.

Ringing
55 Swallows plus a single control, 1 Blue Tit, 1 Whitethroat, 3 Reed Warblers, 1 Blackbird and 1 Goldfinch.
