Today we received details from the BTO of a Lesser Redpoll ringed at the Obs (Rossall School) on 7th April 2013 that had been controlled at Fair Isle Bird Observatory on 22nd June 2015. What made this recovery all the more amazing was that this bird had also been controlled on 25th May 2014 at Grantown-On-Spey. See Google Earth image below.

1 Little Egret, 33 Ringed Plovers, 275 Lapwings, 72 Sanderlings, 45 Dunlins, 9 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Whimbrels, 275 Curlews, 1 Spotted Redshank, 1 Greenshank, 220 Redshanks, 24 Turnstones and 1 Med. Gull.

1 Blue Tit, 1 Great Tit, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Whitethroat, 1 Sedge Warbler, 4 Reed Warblers (plus a control) and 2 Goldfinch.
