An excellent migration day; an obvious arrival of Goldcrests were noted first thing and there was a decent push of visible migration throughout the morning. The highlight however was an Avocet that flew east into the bay, the first here since 2010. Also, an attempt to catch some Goldcrests later on produced just a single bird and this turned out to be a control!
