There were a few grounded migrants around today, the highlights being the first Woodcock of the Autumn plus a Short-eared Owl and another Black Redstart.
 
 Short-eared Owl

Offshore 
3 pale-bellied Brent Geese west, 2 Wigeon west, 23 Common Scoters west, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers west, 3 Red-throated Divers west, 1 Razorbill wesr and 4 Auk sp. west.

Visible Migration:
5 Skylarks south, 34 Starlings south, 1 Alba Wagtail south, 6 Chaffinch south, 3 Siskins east and 1 Reed Bunting south.

Grounded Migrants 
1 Woodcock, 1 Short-eared Owl, 6 Goldcrests, 2 Chiffchaffs, 1 Blackcap, 50 Blackbirds, 7 Song Thrushes, 40 Redwings, 1 Black Redstart and 3 Stonechats.

Others
600 Pink-footed Geese, 200 Teal, 3 Red-breasted Mergansers, 3 Little Egrets, 26 Ringed Plovers, 26 Golden Plovers, 800 Lapwings, 115 Sanderlings, 100 Dunlins, 125 Black-tailed Godwits, 1 Med. Gull,
1 Cetti's Warbler and 2 Stonechats.
 
 Little Egret

Ringing 
1 Blue Tit, 1 Dunnock, 1 Chaffinch and 2 Goldfinch.
