A Spanish ringed Reed Warbler was trapped during a ringing session this morning and the Swallow roost produced a catch of 52 during the evening. This was the first catch of Swallows, as the roost has moved from the traditional reedbed to a new location. Also two of our leg flagged Turnstones - AR & AT returned today.

Offshore 
30 Common Scoters west, 3 Gannets west, 1 Arctic Skua east, 23 Sandwich Terns and 6 Common Terns. Also 3 Atlantic Grey Seals.

Visible Migration 
1 Golden Plover in off, 2 Swifts east and 15 Swallows east.

Others 
1 Teal, 7 Shovelers, 22 Ringed Plovers, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 5 Sanderling, 34 Dunlins, 1 Snipe, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 1 Whimbrel, 2 Common Sandpipers, 13 Turnstones and 2 Med. Gulls.

Ringing
1 Blue Tit, 1 Great Tit, 1 Sand Martin, 52 Swallows, 5 Sedge Warblers, 7 Reed Warbler plus a Spanish ringed control, 1 Wren and 1 Robin.
