After gale force winds overnight and heavy rain there was a good passage offshore this morning. Birds were moving west out of the bay from dawn until around 11am when the passage eased off.

2 Wigeons west, 14 Pintails west, 1 Scaup west, 55 Common Scoters west, 9 Red-breasted Mergansers,  21 Red-throated Divers west, 1 juv Shag west, 13 Great Crested Grebes west, 152 Kittiwakes west, 235 Little Gulls west, 6 Guillemots west, 2 Razorbills west and 353 Auk sp. west.

800 Pink-footed Geese, 5 Goldeneyes, 16 Red-breasted Mergansers, 1 Merlin, 39 Ringed Plovers, 90 Sanderlings, 1 Purple Sandpiper, 11 Snipe, 215 Black-tailed Godwits, 200 Turnstones, 1 Stonechat, 9 Rock Pipits and 45 Twite.
