We were very privileged today to have Eric Greenwood, author of the Flora of North Lancashire, spending a day at the obs with us surveying plants at some of the obs wetlands. We learned a great deal from Eric and it was a good day weatherwise enabling us to photograph some inverts instead of birds for a change.

Visible Migration 
19 Swallows south and 10 House Martins south.

1 Gadwall, 1 Peregrine, 26 Ringed Plovers, 75 Sanderlings, 130 Dunlins, 6 Snipe and 83 Turnstones.
 
Ringing
1 Magpie, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Willow Warblers, 2 Whitethroats, 1 Sedge Warbler, 4 Reed Warblers and 1 Blackbird.
