There was a noticable arrival of Willow Warblers around the Obs today, plus the first Yellow Wagtailof the year flew through. In the late afternoon Arctic Terns started to move into the bay.



Offshore 
4 Shelducks east, 2 Teal east, 46 Common Scoters east, 4 Red-breasted Mergansers east, 1 Goosander east, 8 Red-throated Divers east, 18 Gannets west, 1 Arctic Skua east, 1 Guillemot west, 62 Sandwich Terns east, 1 Common Tern east, 94 Arctic Terns east - all late afternoon and 13 Kittiwakes east.



Visible Migration
8 Sand Martins north, 26 Swallows north, 2 House Martins north, 1 Yellow Wagtail east, 4 Alba Wagtails north, 6 Tree Pipits north-east, 95 Meadow Pipits north, 18 Linnets east, 8 Redpolls east, 21 Goldfinch east and 3 Siskins east.



Grounded Migrants
4 Chiffchaffs, 50 Willow Warblers, 12 Blackcaps, 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Redstart, 11 Wheatears and 3 White Wagtails.

Others 
1 Little Egret, 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 22 Ringed Plovers, 38 Black-tailed Godwits, 160 Turnstones, 38 Sanderlings, 60 Dunlins, 1 Common Sandpiper, 140 Redshanks and 32 Twite.



Ringing
1 Chiffchaff, 2 Willow Warblers, 2 Blackcaps and 2 Lesser Redpolls.
