Birding around the Obs this afternoon there seemed to be a lot more Crests and Chiffchaffs when a band of light rain appeared, so a mist net was erected and within 30 minutes 14 Goldcrests and 3 Chiffchaffs were trapped! Other new birds seen today included the first Tree Pipit and Yellowhammer of the year.

1 Shelduck east, 13 Common Scoters east, 7 Red-breasted Mergansers, 2 Red-throated Divers east & 2 on the sea, 2 Gannets west, 1 Kittiwake east, 7 Sandwich Terns east, 1 Guillemot west, 5 Razorbills west & 7 on the sea.
Visible Migration
7 Woodpigeons east & 1 in off, 3 Alba Wagtails east, 1 Tree Pipit east, 247 Meadow Pipits east, 1 Chaffinch east, 19 Goldfinch east, 1 Siskin east, 4 Linnets east and 1 Yellowhammer east.
Grounded Migrants
25 Goldcrests, 4 Coal
Tits, 2 Sand Martins, 10 Chiffchaffs, 2 Redwings, 2 Robins, 14 Wheatears,1 White Wagtail and 1 Brambling.
