After
two days of slogging around the peninsular in awful weather, persistence
finally paid off in
the form of a juvenile American Golden Plover being found on the Golf Course this
morning. It was found at 07:30 flying around calling frequently and landed
briefly twice at the
far side of the course by the club house before being disturbed by the
Green keepers. It flew
off high to the east calling at 07:45. This
is the obs second record, the first being at the same location on the 20th
September 1988.
