A mix of over night mist and clearing skies at first light brought a few migrants in and the first big push of visible migration of the Autumn.

Offshore
12 Gannets, 9 Common Scoters, 3 Red-throated Divers south, 2 Little Gulls south, 19 Sandwich Terns south, 3 Guillemots east, 400 Knot south and 4 Auk sp.

Visible Migration
1 Grey Heron east, 1 Buzzard low south over the promenade, 1 Sparrowhawk south, 132 Pink-footed Geese south, 13 Snipe east, 7 Golden Plover in off, 64 House Martins south, 5 Sand Martins south, 288 Swallows south, 20 Grey Wagtails south, 48 Alba Wagtails south, 1 Tree Pipit south, 202 Meadow Pipits south, 2 Siskins east, and 2 south , 1 Redpoll east and 1 south, 9 Linnets south, 16 Goldfinch south and 2 Reed Buntings south.

Grounded Migrants
21 Wheatears, 1 Redstart, 15 Robins, 4 Dunnocks (agitated birds in the dunes), 1 Whitethroat, 1 Blackcap, 2 Willow Warbler, 4 Chiffchaff and 6 Goldcrests.

Others
1 Little Egret, 2 Wigeon, 1 female Red-breasted Merganser, 1 Golden Plover, 53 Sanderling, 1 Ruff, 17 Black-tailed Godwits, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 1 Greenshank, 1 2CY Yellow-legged Gull, 7 Med. Gulls, 1 Barn Owl and 55 Linnets.
