After yesterdays big vis movement it was much slower going today but two more Marsh Harriers moved through. It's been an unprecedented Autumn for this species at the Obs breaking all records. A nice selection of species were around today including the first Curlew Sandpipers of the autumn and a Ruddy Shelduck of unknown origin.

Offshore
1 Gannet west, 72 Wigeon west, 21 Teal west, 500 Common Scoters, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers, 4 Red-throated Divers west and 1 Sandwich Tern west.

Visible Migration 
2 Marsh Harriers east - 1 juv high over the sea at 07:30 and 1 female low over the sea at 09:33, 1,126 Pink-footed Geese (S/SE), 1 Green Sandpiper in off sea, 4 House Martin (S/SE), 69 Swallows (S/SE), 7 Grey Wagtails (S/SE), 15 Alba Wagtails (S/SE), 85 Meadow Pipits (S/SE), 1 Redpoll (E), 18 Chaffinch (S/SE), 40 Linnets (S), 7 Goldfinch (S) and 6 Greenfinch (S/SE).

Grounded Migrants
5 Wheatears, 1 Whinchat, 8 Chiffchaffs, 5 Goldcrests, 15 Pied Wagtails and 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Others
1 female/immature Ruddy Shelduck seen early evening, 1 Little Egret, 1,000 Pink-footed Geese came in to roost during evening, 1 Scaup, 22 Little Grebes, 1 Whimbrel, 3 juvenile Curlew Sandpipers, 7 Snipe, 300 Lapwings, 675 Redshank, 2 Peregrines, 14 Med. Gulls and 150 Goldfinch.
