After several days of blocking weather conditions, clear skies and a light northeasterly breeze unlocked the 'vis' gates and diurnal migrants poured through and over the obs.

Offshore 
5 Shelducks east, 15 Common Scoters, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Sandwich Terns west and 35 Bar-tailed Godwits west.

Visible Migration 
1,360 Pink-footed Geese (S), 4 Snipe (E), 1 Buzzard (S), 4 Sparrowhawks (S), 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker (W), 17 Skylarks (S), 1,951 Swallows (S), 38 House Martins (S), 4 Sand Martins (S), 2,267 Meadow Pipits (S), 18 Grey Wagtails (S), 58 Alba Wagtails (S), 1 Mistle Thrush (S), 14 Carrion Crows (S), 2 Tree Sparrows (E), 8 Chaffinch (S), 18 Greenfinch (S), 31 Linnets (S), 13 Goldfinch (S), 7 Siskins (S), 3 Woodpigeons (S) and 5 Reed Buntings (S).

Grounded Migrants
5 Wheatears, 2 Blackcaps, 5 Chiffchaffs, 8 Goldcrests, 39 Robins, 1 Tree Sparrow, 1 Reed Warbler and 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Others
1 Short-Eared Owl, 1 Common Sandpiper, 155 Sanderling, 17 Black-tailed Godwits, 1 Little Egret and 6 Med. Gulls.

Ringing
6 Robins, 15 Meadow Pipit, 1 Blue Tit, 2 Great Tits, 5 Greenfinch, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Wren and 1 Chaffinch.
