After an overcast and murky start to the day the weather began to clear towards dinner time and this resulted in a nice selection of birds moving offshore including the first Arctic Skua and Common Tern of the spring.

Also 2 Harbour Porpoise and 1 Atlantic Grey Seal.

Overnight rain dropped some migrants in this morning including another Ring Ouzel and a Lapland Bunting. The visible migration was much slower due to the murky conditions but another Osprey flew north when the weather cleared.

There was an arrival of migrants around the Obs today with the first Little Ringed Plover, Willow Warbler and Blackcap of the spring. Another Osprey flew through this morning, the third in three days, and a single House Martin during the afternoon was the earliest ever record for here.
