Another
amazing day for scarce birds around the Obs from the month
that keeps on giving! First were 2 Waxwings that came out of
the murk calling, they circled around quite high before flying off
SE. A ringing session later on during the morning produced a pair
of Bearded Tits - the first here since 1994. These had been on our
radar, as they seem to be all over this Autumn. The final good bird
came at dusk as a single Great White Egret flew over the marsh
with eleven Little Egrets.
