The last day of an outsstanding month produced one last good bird - a single Hooded crow flew east along the promenade this morning. It's a rare bird here in Autumn with most records being spring birds moving north on vis.

Offshore
12 Common Scoters west, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers and 1 Great Crested Grebe.

Visible Migration
1 Whooper Swan south, 85 Pink-footed Geese south, 70 Jackdaws south, 14 Rooks south, 9 Carrion Crows south, 1 Hooded Crow east, 27 Skylarks south, 73 Starlings east, 1 Tree Sparrow east, 1 Song Thrush south-east, 4 Mistle Thrushes south, 1 Grey Wagtail south, 4 Alba Wagtails south, 4 Meadow Pipits south, 10 Bramblings east/south-east, 162 Chaffinch east/south-east, 11 Greenfinch east/south-east, 7 Goldfinch south and 6 Siskins east.

Grounded Migrants
5 Goldcrests, 1 Coal Tit, 2 Blackcaps, 20 Blackbirds, 6 Song Thrushes and 12 Redwings.

Others 
320 Wigeons, 70 Teal, 2 Shovelers, 3 Little Egrets, 2 Water Rails, 33 Golden Plovers, 65 Grey Plovers, 600 Lapwings, 28 Ringed Plovers, 300 Knots, 75 Dunlins, 1 Cetti's Warbler and 2 Stonechats.
