After a slow start to the day the murk cleared about 9am, the sun came out and it warmed up. This produced a push of birds moving south, the highlight`s being a late Swift and the Autumns first Merlin.

Offshore 
1 Pintail east, 39 Common Scoters west and 4 Sandwich Terns.

Visible Migration 
43 Pink-footed Geese south, 2 Sparrowhawks south, 1 Merlin south, 3 Snipe east, 1 Swift south, 2 Sand Martins south, 181 Swallows south, 11 House Martins south-east, 15 Grey Wagtails south, 27Alba Wagtails south, 633 Meadow Pipits south, 24 Chaffinch south, 11 Linnets south and 5 Reed Buntings south.

Grounded Migrants 
6 Goldcrests, 5 Chiffchaffs, 5 Blackcaps, 1 Whitethroat, 1 Reed Warbler, 3 Song Thrushes, 6 Robins, 1 Whinchat, 17 Wheatears and 21 Pied Wagtails.
