There was an arrival of migrants around the Obs today with the first Little Ringed Plover, Willow Warbler and Blackcap of the spring. Another Osprey flew through this morning, the third in three days, and a single House Martin during the afternoon was the earliest ever record for here.

Offshore
2 Shelducks east, 1 Shoveler east, 7 Common Scoters west, 1 Goosander east, 5 Red-breasted Mergansers, 2 Red-throated Divers east and 1 Great Crested Grebe.

Visible Migration
28 Pink-footed Geese, 1 Osprey flew east low over the sea at 09:35, 1 Buzzard east, 1 Golden Plover east, 77 Woodpigeons east, 2 Jackdaws east, 11 Carrion Crows north-east, 20 Sand Martins north-east, 1 Swallow north, 1 House Martin north-east, 1 Grey Wagtail east, 17 Alba Wagtails north, 871 Meadow Pipits east/north-east, 2 Tree Sparrows east, 1 Chaffinch east, 16 Goldfinch east, 8 Siskins east, 47 Linnets north and 4 Redpolls east.

Grounded Migrants 
1 Little Ringed Plover, 15 Sand Martins, 18 Goldcrests, 25 Chiffchaffs, 4 Willow Warblers, 1 Blackcap, 3 Redwings, 6 Robins, 37 Wheatears, 2 White Wagtails, 2 Siskins, 1 Lesser Redpoll and 1 Reed Bunting.
