For
a while now we have been talking about trying to catch Pied Wagtails at a roost
site on the
peninsular but have never given it a go, until tonight. We cannot catch them at
the actual roost,
but they overfly one of our net rides en route, so we tried tape luring with
great success. We
ringed 21 birds and controlled a colour-ringed individual. Details of the colour-ringed bird have been entered onto IPMR and submitted to the BTO and we await with interest to find out where this bird was from.
