This evening we did the second ringing session of the Swallow roost and caught 66 birds, plus 1 control, and five Sand Martins. We wait with interest to find out where this Swallow was from following submission via IPMR to the BTO. In the meantime if D006648 is yours please let us know.

Offshore 
59 Common Scoters west, 9 Manx Shearwaters east and 36 west, 6 Gannets east and 6 west, 12 Knots west, 6 Common Terns, 11 Sandwich Terns east and 2 Auk sp. west. Also one Atlantic Grey Seal.

Visible Migration 
48 Swifts east and 2 west, 3 Sand Martins east and 31 Swallows east.

Grounded Migrants 
1 Wheatear.

Others 
10 Ringed Plovers, 33 Sanderlings, 11 Dunlins, 1 Snipe, 1 Common Sandpiper, 125 Redshanks, 24 Turnstones, 1 Golden Plover, 1 adult Yellow-legged Gull, 1 Med. Gull and 7 Stock Doves.

Ringing
5 Sand Martins, 66 Swallows plus 1 control, 1 Blue Tit, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcaps, 9 Sedge Warblers, 4 Reed Warblers, 1 Greenfinch and 1 Goldfinch.
