The strong north/north-westerly winds finally eased overnight and swung round to the north-east, this produced an excellent vis mig day. The highlight`s were a ringtail Hen Harrier in off, a record count of 3850 Jackdaws, a Hooded Crow in-off, 2 Crossbills and a Yellowhammer. In the afternoon a couple of Obs scarcities were found, an Avocet on the marsh and a fly over Great Egret.

Offshore:
18 Common Scoters west, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers east, 1 Red-throated Diver west, 1 Great Crested Grebe east, 1 Guillemot east, 6 Auk sp. east and 1 Kittiwake west.

Visible Migration 
72 Pink-footed Geese south, 1 Hen Harrier in off, 1 Sparrowhawk in off, 3 Buzzards south-east, 1 Woodcock in off, 76 Wood Pigeons east, 2 Collared Doves west, 3850 Jackdaws south, 12 Rooks south, 14 Carrion Crows south, 1 Hooded Crow in off & south, 32 Skylarks south, 1395 Starlings west, 20 Blackbirds south-east, 23 Fieldfares east, 1 Song Thrush south-east, 53 Redwings east, 4 Mistle Thrushes south, 3 Tree Sparrows south, 2 Alba Wagtails south, 4 Meadow Pipits south, 26 Bramblings east/south-east, 369 Chaffinch east/south-east, 22 Greenfinch south, 9 Linnets south, 2 Crossbills south, 26 Goldfinch south, 6 Siskins east, 1 Yellowhammer east and 3 Reed Buntings east.

5 Whooper swans, 800 Pink-footed Geese, 535 Wigeons, 3 Gadwalls, 250 Teal, 2 Shovelers, 2 Goldeneyes, 3 Little Egrets, 1 Great Egret - flew SW over the nature park late afternoon, 1 Water Rail, 1 Avocet - roosting on the marsh, 550 Lapwings, 23 Black-tailed Godwits, 215 Turnstones, 100 Dunlins, 1 Med. Gull, 1 Barn Owl, 1 Raven, 3 RockPipits and 3 Twite.
