A very interesting flava Wagtail was heard and seen briefly
this morning. It was first heard giving a rasping "tchreep" call as it flew in from the east, it
then disappeared onto the golf course. It was located again by call, but only brief distant scope
views were obtained but it was a very grey & white looking bird. It was heard giving
flava like "pseeu" calls as well as the "tchreep" call. IG later listened to various forms of
Yellow Wagtails he had sound recorded around Eurpoe & Asia and the best match was feldegg
recordings. Unfortunately it was not seen again and the views on the ground were very brief and
distant.
