There was a large southerly movement of visible migrants this morning which seemed to be moving before a weather system arrived from the south-west. There were large numbers of Skylarks, Wagtails and Pipits coming in low over the sea and smaller numbers of Finches moving south/south-east.

 Skylarks

Offshore:
2 Shelducks east, 10 Wigeons west, 3 Teal west, 42 Common Scoters west, 1 Red-throated Diver west, 1 Gannet west, 2 Great Crested Grebes west and 3 Auk sp. west.

Visible Migration 
38 Pink-footed Geese south, 4 Golden Plovers south, 4 Jay`s east, 33 Jackdaws south, 14 Carrion Crows south, 187 Skylarks south, 8 Swallows south, 3 Redwings south-east, 9 Grey Wagtails south, 161 Alba Wagtails south, 1,524 Meadow Pipits south, 4 Rock Pipits west, 57 Chaffinch south-east, 8 Greenfinch south-east, 21 Goldfinch south, 6 Siskins south-east, 62 Linnets south and 8 Reed Buntings south.
Pink-footed Geese

Grounded Migrants 
1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 6 Goldcrests, 2 Coal Tits, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 11 Song Thrushes, 15 Blackbirds, 2 Robins and 1 Wheatear.

Others
2 Gadwalls, 1 Little Egret, 52 Ringed Plovers, 85 Sanderlings, 90 Dunlins, 2 Snipe, 5 Black-tailed Godwits, 300 Turnstones and 1 Med. Gull.

Ringing
1 Great Tit, 1 Blackcap, 2 Wrens, 4 Chaffinch, 1 Greenfinch and 6 Goldfinch.
