There was an unexpected large finch movement this morning with over a thousand Chaffinches recorded. Other birds seen during the movement were four Jack Snipes which came in off the sea and a single Yellowhammer, the first this Autumn. The birds were probably moving before the band of heavy rain arrived from the north later in the morning.
