A few migrants were noted around the Obs today despite the continuing easterly blast; the highlight being a Treecreeper. This species is rare here and usually occurs in late Autumn, so a spring bird was a surprise. Also a Great Northern Diver was offshore today.

Offshore
5 Shelducks east, 72 Common Scoters west, 19 Red-breasted Mergansers east, 8 Red-throated Divers east, 1 Great Northern Diver west, 5 Great Crested Grebes on the sea & 1 east, 1 Curlew east, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit east, 7 Kittiwakes east, 1 Guillemot west, 4 Razorbills and 5 Auk sp. east.

Visible Migration
18 Whooper Swans north-east, 6 Alba Wagtails north and 13 Meadow Pipits north.

4 Goldcrests, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Treecreeper, 6 Blackbirds, 2 Song Thrushes and 1 Wheatear.

43 Pink-footed Geese, 2 Goldeneyes, 9 Ringed Plovers, 76 Sanderlings, 2 Purple Sandpipers, 180 Dunlins, 1 Jack Snipe, 225 Turnstones and 22 Twite.
