A Black Redstart was found late in the afternoon today plus a Long-tailed Duck was offshore and the Observatory`s latest ever Swallow flew through.

Offshore
1 Teal west, 1 Scaup west, 1 fem/imm Long-tailed Duck west, 57 Common Scoters west, 22 Red-breasted Mergansers, 22 Red-throated Divers west, 5 Great Crested Grebes west, 1 Kittiwake west, 6 Little Gulls west, 1 ad Med. Gull west, 2 Guillemots west, 1 Razorbill west and 53 Auk sp. west.

Visible Migration 
7 Whooper Swans south, 11 Fieldfares south, 3 Bramblings south and 1 Swallow south - the latest ever Swallow for the Observatory.

Grounded Migrants 
24 Redwings, 24 Blackbirds, 5 Song Thrushes and 1 fem/imm Black Redstart - found late afternoon.

Others
40 Tufted Ducks, 3 Goldeneyes, 111 Wigeon, 1,009 Teal, 1 Little Egret, 45 Snipe, 1 Jack Snipe, 17 Black-tailed Godwits, 228 Lapwings, 3 Water Rails, 1 Merlin, 1 Raven, 2 Stonechats, 13 Rock Pipits, 2 Grey Wagtails, 50 Linnets and 2 Snow Buntings.
