Heavy overnight thunderstorms and SE winds dropped a few migrants in,
most notably Willow Warbler.
Offshore
15 Gannet east, 22 Common Scoter west, 75 Cormorant, 80
Sandwich Tern and 4 Common Tern.
A further sea watch in the evening produced 2 Manx Shearwater west, 45 Gannet, 5 Common Scoter, 1 Arctic Skua west, 26 Sandwich Tern and 3 Common Tern.

Grounded Migrants
1 fem/imm Pied Flycatcher feeding in a garden, 40
Willow Warbler, 2 Whitethroat, 2 Sedge Warbler, 1 Garden Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat
and 4 Wheatears.
Others
1 juvenile Marsh Harrier seen again mid afternoon, 98 Ringed
Plover, 38 Sanderling, 21 Dunlin, 11 Knot, 525 Redshank, 1 Spotted Redshank, 2
Common Sandpiper, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 (1 adult & 1 1st summer) Med.
Gulls, 1 Jay; scarce on the peninsular and 1 early returning Short-eared Owl seen early
evening.
Ringing
1 Reed Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 2 Willow Warbler, 1 Swallow
and 1 Blackbird.
