South-easterly winds and rain dropped some migrants onto the peninsula this morning. After a wet morning "bush bashing" persistence payed off with the finding of a Turtle Dove just before midday; it was seen well briefly before flying off east. There were good numbers of Sedge Warblers and Wheatears, plus two Garganeys were found in the evening.

38 Common Scoters east, 3 Red-throated Divers east, 4 Gannets east and 6 Sandwich Terns.

1 Whimbrel east, 33 Swallows east, 3 House Martins east, 1 Grey Wagtail east, 1 Tree Pipit east, 2 Meadow Pipits east, 4 Linnets east and 1 Redpoll east.

The best action was over the sea today and the highlight was the Observatory`s highest spring day count of Little Terns.
