Work took place this week on the long awaited scrape creation, so a big thanks goes out to John and his crew for a great job, and a special thanks to Tim at Lancs County Council for securing the funding and organising the work.

Offshore
17 Wigeons west, 12 Teal west, 49 Common Scoters west, 4 Red-breasted mergansers, 3 Red-throated Divers west, 1 Great Crested Grebe west and 3 Auk sp. west.

Visible Migration 
2 Snipe south, 13 Wood Pigeons east 4 Collared Doves south, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker west, 80 Jackdaws south, 34 Skylarks south, 9 Starlings south, 3 Mistle Thrushes south, 1 Grey Wagtail south, 5 Alba Wagtails south, 16 Meadow Pipits south, 1 Rock Pipit west, 2 Bramblings east/south-east, 77 Chaffinch east/south-east, 12 Greenfinch east/south-east, 11 Linnets south, 1 Redpoll east, 52 Siskins east and 6 Reed Buntings east/south-east.

Grounded Migrants
5 Goldcrests, 2 Chiffchaffs, 15 Blackbirds and 12 Redwings.

Others
600 Pink-footed Geese, 230 Wigeons, 140 Teal, 3 Shovelers, 4 Little Egrets, 430 Lapwings, 154 Turnstones, 80 Knots, 370 Redshanks, 12 Snipe, 1 Merlin, 1 Stonechat, 1 Grey Wagtail, 45 Linnets and 2 Twite.
