The wandering Chough was seen over the point by IG & HG this morning. It came in from the west calling, spent a few minutes flying around the tower before drifting off SE. Not a bad find on IG's first morning back from Panama!

Offshore:
35 Common Scoters east, 4 Red-breasted Mergansers east, 9 Red-throated Divers east, 1 Manx Shearwater east, 18 Gannets east, 1 Guillemot east, 24 Auk sp. east, 19 Sandwich Terns east and 1 Common Tern east.

Visible Migration
15 Whimbrels east, 2 Wood Pigeons east, 7 Jackdaws east, 4 Rooks east, 15 Carrion Crows north-east, 6 Sand Martins north, 28 Swallows north, 1 Yellow Wagtail east, 9 Alba Wagtails north, 4 Tree Pipits north, 224 Meadow Pipits north, 38 Linnets east, 4 Redpolls east, 84 Goldfinch east and 2 Siskins east.

Grounded Migrants
6 Wheatears and 25 White Wagtails.

Others
33 Ringed Plovers, 120 Black-tailed Godwits, 135 Turnstones, 70 Sanderlings, 100 Dunlins, 1 Common Sandpiper and 1 Chough - came in from the west then circled around the tower before drifting off inland to the SE.
