The highlight of the day were two Ospreys which flew through in perfect raptor conditions during the afternoon. Both birds came
in high from the north with the first bird veering off to the SE and
the second twenty minutes later going straight south.

Scoters west, 10 Gannets east, 3 Kittiwakes east, 23 Sandwich Terns
and 1 Guillemot east.

2 Ospreys south - see above, 1 Merlin 'in off', 85 Swallows south, 7 House Martins east, 16 Grey Wagtails
south, 21 Alba Wagtails south, 184 Meadow Pipits south, 1 Chaffinch south-east and 2 Linnets south.
Grounded Migrants
4 Goldcrests, 3 Chiffchaffs, 1 Willow
Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Whitethroat, 1 Reed Warbler and 5
Wheatears.
Others
1 Gadwall, 22 Teal, 1 Garganey, 3 Shovelers, 6 Little Egrets, 520 Lapwings, 84 Ringed Plovers, 16 Black-tailed
Godwits, 250 Knots, 90 Sanderlings, 2 Greenshanks, 500 Redshanks, 18 Snipe, 3 Med. Gulls and 2 Cetti's Warblers.
