An excellent migration day; an obvious arrival of Goldcrests were
noted first thing and there was a decent push of visible migration throughout the
morning. The highlight however was an Avocet that flew east into the bay, the first here
since 2010. Also, an attempt to catch some Goldcrests later on produced just a single
bird and this turned out to be a control!
