After a hard overnight frost most of the freshwater pools were
frozen, the remaining open water was a magnet for bathing Gulls. An afternoon watch produced a nice
selection of Larids coming in to bathe, including the wintering Glaucous, yesterday's Iceland, an adult
Yellow-legged and an interesting yellow-legged `argentatus` Herring Gull which is sometimes referred to as 'omissus'.
