The highlight of the day was the number of Swallows around the Obs, 214 moved south during a vis count and 500 were feeding over the farm fields in the afternoon. The real show came in the evening with 8,000 coming in to roost, the largest number for a long
time. Also of note were two Garganey found during the morning.

22 Common Scoters west, 2 Gannets west, 75 Sandwich Terns and 12
Common Terns.

2 Snipe south, 2 Sand Martins south, 214 Swallows south, 21 House
Martins south, 2 Tree Pipits south, 1 Meadow Pipit south, 1 Alba Wagtail south and 1 Grey Wagtail south.
Grounded Migrants
5 Willow Warblers, 2 Blackcaps, 4 Lesser Whitethroats, 8
Whitethroats, 6 Sedge Warblers, 13 Reed Warblers, 19 Wheatears and 1 Yellow Wagtail.

2 Garganeys, 2 Buzzards, 125 Ringed Plovers, 300 Lapwings, 2 Golden
Plovers, 68 Sanderlings, 52 Dunlins, 9 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Whimbrels, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Med.
Gull, 1 3rd summer Yellow-legged Gull, 70 Goldfinch and 8,000 Swallows roosting.
