A Hooded Crow came in off the sea with four Carrion Crows this morning and an adult Greenland White-fronted Goose was found amongst the Pink-feet flock during the afternoon.

 Turnstone 'AM' was ringed at the Obs on 16/12/2012 and was seen regularly 

that winter until 14/03/2013. It was back at the Obs on 01/09/2013 and was

last seen, until today, on 06/11/2013.

The Autumn's seawatching has been rather lean, but this mornings watch was rather better with some local scarcities being seen. A pair of Long-tailed Ducks, 2 Velvet Scoters and a single Great Northern Diver were recorded flying west.

2 pale-bellied Brent Geese west, 2 Shelducks west, 13 Wigeons west, 4 Teal west, 1 Pintail west, a pair of Long-tailed Ducks west, 110 Common Scoters west, 2 Velvet Scoters west, 9 Red-breasted Mergansers, 7 Red-throated Divers west, 1 Great Northern Diver west, 8 Great Crested Grebes west, 1 Guillemot west and 24 Auk sp. west.

There were a few grounded migrants around today, the highlights being the first Woodcock of the Autumn plus a Short-eared Owl and another Black Redstart.
