Today`s highlights were a Black-throated Diver offshore and the spring's first Spotted Flycatcher.

621 Common Scoters west, 1 Red-breasted Merganser east, 4 Red-throated Divers east and 4 west, 1 Black-throated Diver west at 07:45, 11 Manx Shearwaters west, 73 Gannets west, 1 Great Crested Grebe west, 59 Grey Plovers west, 48 Bar-tailed Godwits west, 1 Arctic Skua east, 3 Kittiwakes including a 2CY on the beach, 34 Sandwich Terns west, 30 Arctic Terns, 3 Guillemots west & 3 on the sea, 7 Razorbills west and 7 Auk sp. west.

11 Swallows north and 2 Goldfinch west.

Grounded Migrants
1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Chiffchaff, 3 Willow Warblers, 1 Blackcap, 3 Whitethroats, 5 Sedge Warblers, 2 Reed Warblers, 1 Spotted Flycatcher and 4 Wheatears.

Others
1 Peregrine, 65 Ringed Plovers, 100 Sanderlings, 923 Dunlins, 9 Black-tailed Godwits and 4 Whimbrels.

2 Shelducks east, 75 Common Scoters east, 1 Goosander east, 6 Red-breasted Mergansers east, 20 Red-throated Divers east & 2 west, 8 Gannets east, 11 Grey Plovers west, 2 Bar-tailed Godwits west, 3 Kittiwakes west, 1 Little Tern east, 63 Sandwich Terns west, 1 Common Tern west, 3 Guillemots west and 1 Razorbill east.

Further observation during the evening produced 23 Common Scoters west, 8 Manx Shearwaters west, 5 Gannets west, 35 Bar-tailed Godwits west and 11 Sandwich Terns east.

Visible Migration
1 Whimbrel east, 3 Swallows north, 2 Alba Wagtails north, 13 Goldfinch west, 4 Linnets east and 3 Redpolls east.

Grounded Migrants:
1 Willow Warbler and 4 Wheatears.

The highlight today were two species not seen at the Obs since 2010; a Puffin flew east offshore and the biggest surprise given the date was a Cettis Warbler trapped and ringed. This is the first Cettis Warbler seen away from the Nature Park.

A quiet day apart form a brief second year Iceland Gull. During the evening the wind eased and the sun came out, and a quick ringing session saw 15 new birds caught.

 24 Common Scoters west, 14 Red-throated Divers east, 8 Manx Shearwaters west, 6 Gannets west, 2 Great Crested Grebes east, 2 Little Gulls west, 4 Sandwich Terns and 4 Auk sp. west.

Visible Migration 
6 Alba Wagtails north, 14 Meadow Pipits north, 1 Chaffinch east, 61 Goldfinch east, 2 Siskins east, 4 Linnets east and 3 Redpolls east.

Grounded Migrants 
1 Common Sandpiper, 10 Swifts, 3 Goldcrests, 12 Sand Martins, 75 Swallows, 30 House Martins, a Grasshopper Warbler, 16 Willow Warblers, 4 Blackcaps, 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Whitethroats, 2 Sedge Warblers, 32 Wheatears and 12 Lesser Redpolls.

Others
