14 Common Scoters east, 21 Red-breasted Mergansers, 22 Red-throated Divers east & 4 on the sea, 9 Gannets east, 1 Great Crested Grebe east, 5 Little Gulls, 23 Sandwich Terns east, 2 Guillemots, 6 Razorbills and 15 Auk sp. east.

Further observation in the evening produced 6 Common Scoters east, 1 Red-throated Diver east, 4 Gannets west, 1 Arctic Skua east, 27 Sandwich Terns east, 1 Common Tern east and 3 Auk sp. east.

106 Pink-footed Geese north, 2 Merlins east, 1 Kestrel east, 64 Woodpigeons east, 1 Sand Martin east, 1 Grey Wagtail east, 10 Alba Wagtails north-east, 271 Meadow Pipits north-east, 3 Chaffinch east, 15 Goldfinch east, 28 Siskins east and 11 Linnets east.

Grounded Migrants
12 Goldcrests, 12 Chiffchaffs, 1 Blackcap, 2 Redwings and 11 Wheatears.

1 Peregrine, 200 Dunlins, 115 Black-tailed Godwits and 6 Twite.

A light south-easterly breeze over the Obs produced a big push of birds today including a big count of Meadow Pipits, a sprinkling of grounded migrants and the first Osprey and Swallow of the spring.

4 Shelducks east, 8 Wigeon east, 2 Teal, 17 Common Scoters west, 27 Red-breasted Mergansers, 50 Red-throated Divers east, 1 Gannet west, 3 Curlews east, 10 Black-headed Gulls east, 9 Sandwich Terns, 5 Razorbills and 4 Auk sp. west.

Further observation in the evening produced 9 Common Scoters east, 3 Gannets west, 5 Red-throated Divers east, 1 Arctic Skua east and 6 Sandwich Terns east.

Visible Migration
18 Whooper Swans north, 500 Pink-footed Geese north, 1 Osprey north (early afternoon), 1 Buzzard north, a Snipe north, 216 Woodpigeons east, 3 Jackdaws east, 1 Rook east, 8 Carrion Crows east, 7 Sand Martins north, 1 Swallow north, 5 Starlings east, 57 Alba Wagtails north, 3,812 Meadow Pipits north, two Skylarks north,  9 Chaffinch east, 1 Greenfinch east, 28 Goldfinch east, 24 Siskins east, 13 Linnets east, 8 Redpolls east and 1 Reed Bunting east.

Grounded Migrants 
15 Goldcrests, 2 Coal Tits 15 Chiffchaffs, 11 Wheatears, a White Wagtail and two Blackbirds.

6 Snipe, 105 Black-tailed Godwits, 120 Turnstones and 1 Barn Owl.

32 Meadow Pipits, a Robin, eight Lesser Redpolls, a Reed Bunting, a Blue Tit, a Wren, seven Chiffchaffs, a Chaffinch, two Greenfinches, four Goldcrests and two Blackbirds.

The highlight of the day was a party of 3 Long-tailed Ducks which flew east offshore this morning.

32 Whooper Swans north, 160 Pink-footed Geese north, 1 Little Egret came across the bay and went south-west, 68 Woodpigeons east, 5 Jackdaws east, 6 Carrion Crows north, 1 Grey Wagtail north, 13 Alba Wagtails north, 96 Meadow Pipits north, 5 Goldfinch east, 4 Siskins east and 6 Linnets east.
